Timberwolf — Marksenfest 2014

Marksenfest

Timberwolf

Timberwolf is the work of Adelaide singer-songwriter Christopher Panousakis, who put a physiotherapy career on hold to chase music properly. Blues and roots run underneath everything he writes, carried by a voice that does most of the heavy lifting.

He built his following through triple j Unearthed, where both ‘Garden’ and ‘Into the Cold’ went to number one on the Roots chart, with ‘Garden’ picking up consecutive weeks on Roots ‘n’ All. A debut album and national tour followed. He has since appeared alongside Hilltop Hoods at triple j’s One Night Stand, recorded a Like A Version, and now plays as part of The Paper Kites’ Roadhouse Band.

At Marksenfest

Timberwolf was the drawcard for Marksenfest 2014 on Sunday 12 October. The festival’s own history of the day put it plainly: “this was the year of Timberwolf”. Alongside him were The New Yorks, Hungry Dreamers, a then-unknown Hockey Dad, Lazy Daze, The Cardinals and crowd favourite Transit. 1,300 people came through the gates.

All-inclusive tickets to Marksenfest 2026 cover drinks, food and entertainment.
