The Max Headroom formed in Adelaide in late 2018 around brothers Lachlan and Patrick, cousin Marcus, and long-time friends Ben and Hamish. Psychedelic rock fused with a modern Australian indie streak, played by a five-piece that clearly enjoys itself.
Since forming they have played across Australia and released a homemade EP followed by a run of singles, including the ‘Ways Road’ EP in 2019 and ‘Days on days’ in 2022.
At Marksenfest
The Max Headroom played Marksenfest 2023 on Saturday 7 October, on a bill headlined by Rum Jungle alongside The Kavs, Stormy-Lou and Maisie. The festival’s introduction singled out their energetic live sets, which is the reason to book them.
