Jesse Davidson is an Adelaide singer-songwriter who was still a teenager when Marksenfest booked him to headline. Marksenfest’s own announcement at the time reached for Jeff Buckley and Grizzly Bear as reference points, which gives you the idea.
He had already made his Hottest 100 debut as guest vocalist on Japanese Wallpaper’s ‘Between Friends’ and played St Jerome’s Laneway Festival before taking the Marksenfest stage. The ‘Ocean’ EP and the single ‘Laika’ came either side of it, and he has kept releasing since.
At Marksenfest
Jesse Davidson headlined Marksenfest 2015 on Sunday 11 October, the festival’s 25th anniversary and its biggest day to that point with 1,500 through the gates. It was also the first year Marksenfest ran two stages. Support came from SKIES, Problems, Lost Woods, Spanish Harlem, Transit, Faz, Jake Daulby, and the Adelaide German Band playing its 25th consecutive Marksenfest.
All-inclusive tickets to Marksenfest 2026 cover drinks, food and entertainment.
