Heaps Good Friends — Marksenfest 2017 headliners

Marksenfest

Heaps Good Friends

Heaps Good Friends were an Adelaide synth-pop duo, Emma Fradd and Nick O’Connor, who met at a youth arts program at the Old Gladstone Gaol and started writing together in 2016. Warm, funny, completely unembarrassed pop music with an eighties streak running through it.

Their debut single ‘Let’s Hug Longer’ became one of the most-played songs on triple j in 2017. That year they won the triple j Unearthed slot for Groovin The Moo, toured with The Jungle Giants and picked up a South Australian Music Award for best new artist. The ‘Hug Me’ EP followed in 2018.

At Marksenfest

Heaps Good Friends headlined Marksenfest 2017 on Sunday 8 October, supported by The New Yorks, LOS LEO, The Montreals and Hartway. It was a record attendance year, a sell-out, and the first to pour MarksenBier. The festival’s write-up of the day needed four words: “the day went off!”

All-inclusive tickets to Marksenfest 2026 cover drinks, food and entertainment.
